Envision a compelling future and ask if you\u2019re on track; discern what skills you need to develop; remember to enjoy this all.\u201d<br \/><\/em>&#8211; Brendon Burchard<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c7ae3f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2c7ae3f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While New Years is a great time for a clean slate and a fresh start, it certainly doesn\u2019t have to be the only time we take a moment and reassess our lives.<\/span><\/p><p>In fact, as we&#8217;re always moving through various stages of life, growth, relationships, career, stress and experience that leads to wisdom, it&#8217;s a great practice to assess &#8211; and attend to &#8211; different areas of your life at different intervals. There are various tools you can use that we teach and use ourselves in my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mindbodyfoodinstitute.com\/courses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Certification courses.<\/a><\/p><p>For example,<\/p><ul><li>You could use a journal every day to write down your thoughts, worries, goals and intentions, or you might prefer to focus on gratitude and blessings.<\/li><li>Weekly, you could assess your stress levels and make space for more relaxation to recalibrate and rebalance.<\/li><li>Every 3 months you could take a look at your goals and celebrate progress. Likewise, you can adjust where necessary.<\/li><li>Every 6 months you could revisit your Values and review your life choices &#8211; have they aligned to what&#8217;s most important to you? If not, why not?<\/li><\/ul><p>Life rolls by so quickly, that if we don&#8217;t make time to slow down and think about what we&#8217;re doing with our precious time, then time will simply slip away and we&#8217;ll remain stuck in old patterns and unconscious habits.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h5>SLOW DOWN DELIBERATELY<\/h5><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Look ahead and reserve yourself a \u201cME day\u201d. Block out your calendar and tell everyone you&#8217;re busy. Take a day just for you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make this date with yourself count by heading to a favourite place where you are free of the mundane and habitual, and the constant chaos and expectations in your life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove yourself long enough to hear your soul, breathe in the life force of the Universe and listen to your true voice emerge from the quiet.<\/span><\/p><p>Sit down with a pen and notebook (or voice memo on your device) and take some time to tune inward and explore your thoughts.<\/p><p><b>Here are some questions to guide you:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am I growing or stagnating?<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am I thriving or surviving?<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am I living a life of purpose?<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am I serving from the heart\u00a0or ego?<\/span><\/i><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am I using or wasting my gifts?<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am I aligned to my needs and values?\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-62636261 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"62636261\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the stillness and quiet of your soul the answers come and you awaken your consciousness to a higher vibration and self-awareness of your choices.<\/span><\/p><p><b>In any moment we can awaken and take conscious control of our choices in life.\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After living within\u00a0the classic &#8220;I&#8217;m not good enough&#8221; belief for a few decades &#8211;\u00a0which has often kept me under the radar and safe from being seen &#8211;\u00a0I&#8217;ve learned that coming into my own light and living a life of conscious choice\u00a0is far better than hiding in the shadows and stumbling in the dark.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I now choose to be awake &#8211; which doesn&#8217;t mean I don&#8217;t still wrestle my\u00a0conditioned mental patterns.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2028It only<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">\u00a0means that I work on being conscious by\u00a0asking myself regularly, <\/span><i style=\"font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">Am I awake and conscious of my choices right now?<\/i><span style=\"font-style: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The more habitually I ask myself to wake up, the more\u00a0attuned I become at\u00a0checking in and making choices more aligned with my needs and values.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Don&#8217;t live your life in the shadows.
